There is no doubt that football fans have thrown a spanner in the works for the DFL and investors. At least in Germany. Pop star fans, on the other hand, don't seem to care if their idols sell their music rights to the highest bidder to investor-funded music companies or earn princely fees thanks to significantly higher ticket prices.
So what is the difference between music fans and football fans? When the latter intervene in match operations in protest, as has happened, music fans are largely unconcerned about the wealth-generating activities of pop stars and the music industry.
An analysis of the interaction between big deals and flourishing business at the expense of fans in their leisure time.
