Amy Zayed
Amy Zayed was born in Paderborn, north-rhine Westphalia. She graduated from the university of Bielefeld with a master’s degree in English, French and Philosophy. She started her radio career at the age of 14 when she joined British forces radio BFBS first as a teenage reporter, later as music and events producer/editor at BFBS Germany. During her time as a student she founded the german campus radio music netwerk and ran the music department of the Bielefeld university radio station Hertz 87.9 which she helped founding in 2000. After working as a reporter for Germany’s young leading radio station 1Live she did a programme production traineeship with German public broadcaster WDR.She now is a freelancer working for all German public and national Culture and music formats as well as the BBC World service, BBC Radio 6Music and Radio 4.Since september 2020 she hosts a podcast for Bastei Luebbe, one of Germany’s major publishing companies. The John Sinclair podcasts revolves around a best selling fiction novel/audio play series about a demon-hunting Scotland Yard chief inspector.
