40 Jahre Alphaville - Forever Young
Not only have they been “Forever Young” for 40 years, they have also been “Big In Japan”: Since 1984, Alphaville have been one of the few internationally successful pop acts from Germany.
Shortly after the Reeperbahn Festival, "Alphaville - Forever!", an extensive retrospective of the band's still active band, will be released. The associated tour starts in November.
While TV and the like (who still remembers popular music shows in linear television?) were crucial marketing tools in the 1980s, today an act like Alphaville also has to prove itself in the social media world like the TikTok charts.
Band founder and frontman Marian Gold and his label and publishing partners Christopher Müller (Warner Music Central Europe) and Benjamin Budde (Budde Music) as well as TikTok's Charlotte Stahl provide information about the journey so far, the current campaign and the art of continuing to make a German synth-pop act from the 1980s a global issue in the fifth decade of its existence.
