Inspired by the processes and prismatic connections of nature, Aditi Veena creates her music with a dedication and serenity that have become rare. The Indian indie artist began performing street concerts under the alias Ditty, reclaiming public spaces in her home country as a woman while at the same time drawing attention to ecological and economic grievances. Only a short time later, her debut album, “Poetry Ceylon” (2019), was named Debut Album of the Year by India Today. From then on, things took off for Ditty: Prominent slots on Spotify playlists and engagements for Netflix as well as for Viva con Agua made the artist a household name in both the local music scene and the activist scene. Today, she has established herself as a musician with singles such as the gracefully beautiful “Mamma”. And she is set to arrive in Hamburg in September with new material.
