Born and raised in Rabat, Morocco, Leil picked up the guitar at age 13 and has been in love with singing and writing songs ever since. She would lock herself in her room everyday after school and dedicate hours to perfecting her craft. For Leil, music has always been a form of escape and means to express herself but simply listening wasn't enough, she knew the only way to fully convey her emotions was through the creation of her own songs.
