Schulz began his career journey as a founding member of Universal Mobile, a business unit of Vivendi, making waves in the mobile music market. During his tenure with Universal Music’s Digital Business in Central and Eastern Europe, he pioneered groundbreaking deals with industry titans like Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, Nokia, Verisign, Apple, NTT DoCoMo, Spotify and Google. He has worked with leading domestic and global artists and managements. In his role as the CEO of ConvertMedia, Schulz utilizes his extensive knowledge to support copyright owners, brands, and organizations in formulating their strategies, refining their licenses, and reaching audiences through third-party platforms. His comprehension of the music-, film- and tv industry has led to the development of transformative products that revolutionize the way intellectual property is monetized.
Since 2018, Schulz has been supporting GWVR, the first Collecting Society founded by Live Entertainment Promoters, in developing and monetizing their rights across online platforms, broadcasters and the music industry. He is an advocate for creator-centricity and supports Copyright Owners to control their data and finances autonomously.
