Sevi Spanoudi
Sevi Spanoudi is the founder and CEO of Black Major, a leading South African music agency known for its professional approach and global outlook. Under her leadership, Black Major has become a key player in the South African music scene, nurturing local artists to international success.
Sevi's background in cultural anthropology, with a focus on identity and representation in the media, informs her innovative approach to artist management. Her career began with the band Freshlyground, taking them to global fame with an MTV Europe Award, a #1 hit single with Shakira, and three platinum records.
Following this success, Sevi founded Black Major, a multifaceted management agency, label, and publishing company representing top South African artists such as Abdullah Ibrahim, Ray Phiri, and Beatenberg. The agency's current roster includes dynamic talents such as Sho Madjozi, DJ Lag, The Joy, Bongeziwe Mabandla, Bokani Dyer, Sha Sha, and KDollahz.
