Since April 2021, Melinda Weidenmüller has been working at Aktionsnetzwerk Nachhaltigkeit (ANKM), a cross-sectoral contact point for corporate ecology in the fields of culture and media, which is funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM). During her international business studies, she discovered her affinity for numbers, which she now uses in her role as head of the climate footprinting department of cultural institutions at ANKM. She was in charge of climate accounting in the unique nationwide project ‘Elf zu Null - Hamburger Museen handeln’ and supported the development of the CO2 calculator for German culture, the Creative Green Tools Germany and the CO2 culture standard according to KBK and KBK+. In addition, Melinda Weidenmüller has supervised and prepared numerous carbon footprints in the cultural sector, including as part of the ‘Selected music venues of the Reeperbahn Festival’ project, in which carbon footprints were prepared in accordance with the KBK&KBK+ CO2 cultural standard.
