Martin Eulenhaupt
Born 1962 in Stuttgart, growing up in a conservative evangelical home in southern Germany, which almost inevitably led to a rebellious youth and post-adolescent radical left-wing politicisation, ‘Eule’ became a self-taught artist who, after the fall of the Berlin Wall, put down roots in Mecklenburg via stations in Lübeck and Hamburg.
Here he was not entirely uninvolved in the development of a subcultural lighthouse project that, in an unplanned way, is now perhaps one of the best-known things that countless young people from different generations associate with the north-east of the republic. The Fusion Festival.
Whether as an artist, cultural creator, visionary, utopian, local political activist or as a board member of Kulturkosmos Müritz e.V., he has lived and worked for this project for almost 30 years.
