Annika "Shawty" Manick
Annika ‘Shawty’ Manick looks back on over 15 years of experience in the influencer & social media game and currently works as Director Influencer & Creator Solutions at the global creative agency We Are Social. She has worked at top agencies such as TLGG, elbdudler, Kruger Media, Granny, Jung von Matt / SPREE and Jung von Matt / SPORTS, realising projects for global players such as Vevo, Soundcloud, TikTok Germany, adidas, NBA, Spotify, Amazon Music and Netflix.
With a particular focus on the conception and production of social media campaigns involving public figures - whether content creators, musicians or athletes - Shawty has contributed significantly to the success of numerous blogger, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube campaigns. She always has one ear on the street and two eyes on her social feeds to directly identify current trends.
Her main task is to promote the integration and engagement of influencers for the brands she works with through innovative and appealing campaigns. She puts particular emphasis on the development and expansion of brand relationships with creators, as well as the creative direction of individual campaigns.
As a passionate advocate of hip-hop and pop culture, Shawty combines her commitment to DE&I (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) with her work. Her own background is a driving force that motivates her to create a platform for more diversity and representation. She has also been a proud member of ADC Germany since 2021.
