Someone else’s childhood memories not only make us think about our own lives and appreciate what was and is – they can also inspire us. Frida and Sirid Møl Kristensen thought back to the living room of their childhood home, where sunlight refracted in tiny rainbows: The duo PRISMA was born and has since been creating dream pop with shimmering facets of darkwave and indietronica that sound at once nostalgic and futuristic. Frida is on guitar, Sirid on bass, and both play synthesisers. From their first EP, “Her” (2020), to this year’s debut album, “Something To Respond To”, the Danish sisters’ sound has always been tweaked and fine-tuned, enabling them to realise their artistic vision down to the last sonic detail. The work and dedication involved can be heard in every note of songs such as “Into The Sun” and “Lost”. Live, they repeatedly provide moments of auditory uniqueness.
