boebeck
Since the release of the single “I am not” (2021), Boroka Andl-Beck has been a sought-after artist with outstanding live skills in her native Hungary. On her self-titled debut album, “Boebeck” (2023), the singer–songwriter’s delicate yet powerful voice penetrates again and again through wonderfully arranged rock harmonies accompanied by piano and drums. Memories of some legendary bands of the 90s such as The Cranberries and Lamb come to mind. But there are also hints of pop and indie, post-rock and songwriter poetry, which make Boebeck’s music an incredibly intimate experience. In recent years, she has proven that she can also bring this to the stage live with slots at some of Hungary’s biggest festivals, including Sziget, Campus, and Fekete Zaj Festival. And now, she’s finally coming to Hamburg and is sure to make eyes water.
