You Thant
There isn't much that You Thant don't use in their songs with verve and expand into a consistent soundscape: indietronica and electro ballads, hip-hop beats and ambient layers, kraut synth punk and futuristic art pop, handicraft and synthesis. Little wonder, then, that since their debut ‘Dinner For Two’ (2021), the Stockholm-based project has repeatedly managed to produce creative outbursts of eccentric beauty that totally defy any conceivable expectation. Bands like these are hard to find, yet they become lifelong, loyal companions in every conceivable circumstance - and may do more good than any form of therapy. The last full-length album ‘In Search Of Incredible’ (2022) offered precisely that and was pretty true to its title: with fourteen tracks sounding as eclectic as it’s possible to get, You Thant have proven that they can summon this incredible songwriting time and time again, virtually mastering it in their sleep. So not even the good Lord can possibly know what new stylistic miniatures we’ll be seeing at their gig in Hamburg.
