Isaac Roux
It was clear to Isaac Roux from an early age that there could be no other path for him than that of an artist. He completed his studies at the renowned Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts like any other student and was then able to work on songs with Paul McCartney himself, who had co-founded the institute. A label deal with Mayway Records followed immediately, and Roux provided the first insights into his own musical approach with the release of his first single, “White Rose”: Guitar, voice, and anthemic hooks form the core of his songs, which are as atmospherically varied as the seasons. The autumnal follow-up single, “Autumn Love”, also followed the singer–songwriter’s formula but revealed further facets of his creative process. Soon, radio stations of the calibre of BBC Introducing, Deutschlandfunk Kultur, and FM4 began to realise that a bright talent was on the way to a promising future. Isaac Roux is now heralding this future with the 2024 single, “The Right Place”, celebrating a folk-rock sound that makes you long for summer and life. There could hardly be a better reason to attend his gig in Hamburg.
