The two artists, who describe themselves as “broke”, share stories from their day-to-day work life: they explain why they are out of money, reveal the best way to steal from your employers and whether it's really worth getting out of bed every day. So who's behind this ambitious lack of ambition? Artist Sveamaus lives and works in Cologne. Her hopes for success as a visual artist didn't materialise, though. Which is why she decided to devote herself fully to creating memes – and she's been pretty damn successful at it. She's now got over 220,000 followers on Instagram who willingly let her prod them in the right direction. Julius Vapiano is an author and food critic. Since 2016, he's been running the “It Tastes Like Ashes” project, where he analyses Cologne's culinary and art scene. Together, the duo look back on their former jobs in a live talk session, imbued with a non-too-serious ‘Yes boss, I’m on it…’ angle on paid employment.
