Sex Beat pushes forward with a sound that moves between post-punk, ‘No Future ’-attitude and a wild mix of 70s punk and Dischord energy. Driving drums in 16th note mode, creaking guitars, a bass that hits you right in the stomach and vocals that are more scratchy than flattering, raw and restless.

What do they tell us? Big city meets small town, youth meets nostalgia, order meets chaos. It's about what gets stuck in the ups and downs of everyday life: Broken lifts, strange heroes and the eternal question of how not to let yourself be dragged down - neither by life nor by the lift. Sometimes you can hear Parquet Courts, sometimes Uranium Club, sometimes something that sounds like Hüsker Dü, but from a parallel world. Sex Beat don't give us any answers, but they bang questions around our ears until our heads shake.
