OSKA
Sometimes, it doesn’t take much to trigger deep introspection as well as unyielding goosebumps. With her elf-like voice and simple but equally effective songwriting, the Viennese singer–songwriter has demonstrated time and again over the last few years that a DIY artist doesn’t need any promotional fuss or half-baked production tricks to sound entirely independent. Above all, her flair for tender melodies that convey uninhibited devotion like a child at play brings tears to her fans’ eyes over and over. Her restrained and delicately balanced style could hardly sound more mature or calm in songs such as “Somebody” and her latest single, “Like A Song”. However, as her excellent debut album, “My World, My Love, Paris” (2022), is now over two years old, we can hopefully look forward to more new material from the endearing poet in September.
