Meltheads
Ignoring trends and conventions, the Meltheads have been tearing up stages in the Benelux for a few years now. The quartet's name is no accident: their raw garage rock and no-fucks-given attitude have seen the Meltheads turn wherever they’re playing into a sauna, even in the coolest of Belgian weathers. Insane dialogues from the tight rhythm section of Tim Pensaert (bass) and Simon de Geus (drums) are punctuated at will by the crashing guitars of Yuna de Proost and the lusciously exuberant vocals of singer Sietse Willems, before everything turns into a rousing maelstrom of punk rock, no wave and anthemic choruses to shout along to. No wonder the four have long since become more than just an insider tip in the Benelux. And they'll have shed that tag in Germany too after their gig here in Hamburg.
