Joy Bogat
Vulnerability is losing its reputation as a weakness and is increasingly becoming seen as a strength – a development that we can observe in culture in general, but also in the musical output of various artists. Joy Bogat views the connection between the vulnerable and the origin of trust, to which she dedicates songs of playful naïveté with unconventional sophistication for the first time on her EP “It’s Different Now” (2021). Equipped with a voice that is as clear as it is extraordinary and embellished with influences from soul and alternative R&B, Bogat’s music is the result of her own experiences, her most intimate thoughts, and a lot of invested heart and soul. This can be heard as crystal clear throughout the entire duration of her debut album – “Fabric Of Dreams” (2024) – as it can be felt between the lines. The headstrong musician is now touring Germany with her live band and will also be making a detour to Hamburg to sing about mindfulness and empowerment, all while questioning social structures and female intuition.
