It’s the cyclic nature in and behind everything that animates Hanna Lees’s work and characterises her very own songwriting as well as its underlying themes. The musician – who lives and works in Berlin – knows how to translate her diverse artistic influences into an authentic sound that plays out at the intersection of folk, soul, and sophisticated songwriter pop. The way she combines the tried-and-tested with the new to create completely original music of stunning radiance is truly awe-inspiring. As a self-taught singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, she has made a name for herself among resourceful indie enthusiasts in both Europe and the USA with her album “Dirty Mouth Sweet Heart” (2016) and her EP “Invisible Moon” (2020). The song “You Really Got Me” was part of the soundtrack to “League Of Legends: Wild Rift” (2020), and beyond that, Lee’s music can be found in many places in contemporary pop culture. In the past few years, she has toured with Damien Rice and José Gonzáles and has earned a reputation as a sensitive live musician. Now, she is finally coming to Hamburg.
