Digitalism – DJ Set
As pioneers of German electroclash and trailblazers of new rave, İsmail “Isi” Tüfekçi and Jens “Jence” Moelle brought beads of sweat to the foreheads of an entire generation in the 2000s. With “Idealism” (2007), not only did the duo from Hamburg ignite a hype in the local club scene, which was flanked by the French duo Justice, but the fresh young spin on tech house and French electro was also sorely needed at the time and put digitalism on the radar of international tastemakers and festivals. With subsequent albums such as “I Love You Dude” (2011) and “JPEG” (2019), the two successfully developed a style that they themselves helped to invent and shape. Year after year, the duo’s EPs have also proven the musicians to be modernisers of their own guild, and their festival gigs have ensured packed stage areas.
