Chris de Sarandy
In order to somehow channel his creative energy, Chris de Sarandy first studied graphic design at the BRIT School before moving to Berlin for an agency job. But it was and still is music that keeps the singer–songwriter artistically interested and spiritually fulfilled. He created bedroom productions after work, gained valuable experience in an indie rock band, and trained his gruff, powerful vocals. When his first single, “Good Girl, Sad Boy”, was released in 2022, de Sarandy was immediately scooped up by the Embassy Of Music label and released an entire EP of bittersweet pop songs for falling in love or saying goodbye. Shortly afterwards, he collaborated with the DJ duo twocolors and released the single “Cynical”, which became his breakthrough. German radio stations played the track nonstop, and not only due to the high-energy fusion of futuristic house and rich bass. The music video – which was inspired by films such as “The Matrix” and “Equilibrium” – also made a huge impression. It’s therefore only logical that he suddenly entered the German single charts this year with the Glockenbach collaboration “Magic Moment”. And it’s therefore also only logical that he will be joining us for a gig in September.
