BRUCHBUDE
Time for more rough edges? It has undoubtedly arrived. Finn and Jonas think so, too, and have been making poetic indie pop with plenty of irony and social criticism for almost six years now – sometimes straightforward, sometimes more between the lines. The twin duo from Dortmund have worked hard and put their hearts and souls into earning a reputation as a rousing live act who are not afraid to speak out, regardless as to whether it’s about racism, political stagnation, the new right in the supposed centre of society, or capital excesses. With their voices and guitars, the two stand up for greater justice as Bruchbude, but they have also now put together a small band with Luis Melo on bass, urban artist Yuto on keys, and Christoph Städtler as their content creator. The group are on tour this year, presenting their debut album, “Kiosk” (2023) – which was a success on all levels – as well as new songs such as “Traurig aber wahr” and “Ich glaub nicht an die Liebe” (2024). An exceptionally long-lasting hype is already in the offing. So, be sure to head to Hamburg and experience Bruchbude live and in colour.
