BC Camplight performing solo on piano
It’s the highs and lows of his own eventful biography that Brian Christinzio – aka B.C. Camplight – uses to fuel his songwriting. Over the last two decades, the composer and arranger has developed his very own style, which alternates between baroque and psychedelic pop, art rock and progressive experiments, indie and chamber music in a brusque and unadapted manner. At times, he has had to cope with many situations that are mentally difficult for him but that have also allowed him to mature enormously as an artist. From his highly problematic immigration to the UK to addiction problems and the separation from his fiancée – it’s life’s setbacks that inspire B.C. Camplight to constantly reach new creative heights. This was particularly audible on his second-to-last album, ‘The Last Rotation Of Earth’ (2023), where he sounds more self-confident and adventurous than ever before. Now, his seventh album, ‘A Sober Conversation’, further develops the impetus of this thoroughbred musician into an unmistakable signature with new reflections, bitter insights, and sincere slogans. A rare live experience.
