Stefan Bock
Stefan Bock founded msm studios in 1991, which quickly developed into one of the most renowned mastering studios in Europe. Over the past three decades, Stefan Bock has followed the increasing demands of digitalisation in audio technology, has consistently expanded his studios while maintaining them at the highest level of technology. He is the owner and managing director of the msm-studios GmbH based in Munich and Berlin.
As the developer of the Pure Audio Blu-ray, Stefan Bock created the only physical recording medium that can play all common immersive sound formats. He was involved in the very first Auro 3D release back in 2012 and since 2015 he and his team were pioneering Dolby Atmos for Music.
Stefan Bock is an Engineer & Producer especially for immersive productions that have received international awards (Grammys, Golden Records, ECHO, Opus Klassik, to name a few).
Some clients with whom he works are: Peter Maffay, Herbert Grönemeyer, Sarah Brightman, Yello, 2L, Berlin Philharmonic and the Deutsche Grammophon.
Due to his expertise in immersive audio, Stefan Bock is in demand worldwide as a speaker at international congresses such as the Audio Engineering Society and the Association of German Sound Masters. In addition, he is a regular lecturer at ARD. ZDF Media Academy.
Since March 2020, Stefan Bock has been a member of the Immersive Audio Committee of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS)
