Sabine Panossian, born in Austria in 1982, studied film studies at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. She works in the fields of fiction and documentary film and her films have received several awards, including the Silver Student Oscar in 2016 (AM ENDE DER WALD), the Michael Ballhaus Award in 2019 (OFF SEASON), the Doc Alliance Award in 2021 (THE BLUNDER OF LOVE) and the Fipresci Award at the Munich Film Festival in 2023 (FOSSIL). Sabine was part of the ‘Berlinale Talenst’ in 2022. She is a member of the Association of Austrian Cinematographers (AAC), the German Film Academy (DFA) and the European Film Academy (EFA). She has been on the board of the Women* Cinematographers Network since 2022.
