Robbert Baruch, (Amsterdam, October 12, 1967) joined UMG in 2021 and currently works as Senior Vice President Public Affairs – Europe and Multilateral Relations. His role involves shaping public policy and government relations across Europe, including engagement with the European Union, and with global international organisations. He is based at UMG’s corporate headquarters in Hilversum, the Netherlands.
Before UMG, Baruch worked at Buma/Stemra, the Dutch collective management society for composers and music publishers as Manager Public Affairs, and the National Association of Insurers as senior lobbyist. Before that he served as Deputy Mayor of the Rotterdam Borough of Feijenoord and Member of the Regional Assembly of the Province of South Holland.
Robbert studied Political Science (graduating in Political Philosophy) and Public Administration at Leiden University and Religious Studies in Jerusalem and Amsterdam.
Robbert is a resident of The Hague, is married and had three children. He rides a BMW 1200 GSA LQ.
