Ole Plogstedt
Ole was born in Berlin in 1968 and lives in Hamburg. He trained as a chef at Hotel Steigenberger Berlin. After dabbling with gourmet gastronomy (Cöllns Austerstuben, Restaurant Nil Hamburg), he founded the tour catering service “Rote Gourmet Fraktion” for bands like “Die Toten Hosen”, “Earth, Wind & Fire”, “Rosenstolz”, “Fettes Brot”, “Jan Delay”, “Nightwish” and many more in 1993 (with a colleague at that time, who left RGF in 2009). Ole is also committed to organizing charity galas and charitable events: 2001 “Kochen gegen Rechts” (cooking against the radical right-wing) in favor of “Gesicht Zeigen! e.V.” (gala), 2006 “Kochen gegen Aids” (cooking against AIDS) beneffiting the project AIDS orphans in Uganda / Kinderhilfswerk (children’s charity) Plan International (gala). Since 2014, he has been a campaign ambassador for Oxfam Deutschland e.V. (“No development aid for agricultural corporations”). Plogstedt is showing ongoing support for projects like SKFA (Top Chefs for Africa), DKJS (German Children and Youth Foundation), district projects by FC St. Pauli e.V., as well as Hinz & Kunzt street magazine.
