Miriam Davoudvandi is a freelance journalist, presenter, author, and DJ from Berlin with Iranian and Romanian roots. As former editor-in-chief of the music magazine splash! Mag, she set out to “make rap soft again”. Since then, she has worked largely in music journalism contexts and has had all the important musicians in front of her lens. In her podcast, Danke, gut. Der Podcast über Pop und Psyche (“Thank you, good. The podcast about pop and psyche”), which appears on WDR Cosmo, she has been talking regularly to members of the public and experts in mental health for almost four years. She has received several awards for her work, including “Music Journalist of the Year” at the International Music Journalism Award (IMJA) and the distinction as one of the “Top 30 under 30” journalists from Medium Magazine. Under her DJ pseudonym, Cashmiri, she plays at all the country’s major club and festival stages.
