May Ibáñez
May Ibáñez is a musician and cultural manager specialized in the Music Industry. She began her career at the Institut Valencià de Cultura (Generalitat Valenciana) and has been working for 5 years as a Project Manager at the Valencian Music Office, an office that promotes strategic projects to improve business competitiveness as well as the local, national, and international projection of the Valencian music.
She coordinates projects such as Fira Trovam (Professional Fair of the Music Industry in the Valencian Community), Circuit Viu (Program to promote emerging bands in private venues in the region), Tiim Conferences (an event on the music-tourism binomial), or the Valencian Music Yearbook (the first economic impact study of live music in the region). She has participated in various European projects such as MEWEM Europe and is part of the Valencia work team of the Music Cities Network. She is currently developing the pilot project Trovam EUxchange, which also has European funds, together with the office team.
As a musician, she has been leading the rock band Badlands for 10 years, in which she is a singer and composer, and with which she has toured throughout the country and received various recognitions.
