Laura Aha is a freelance journalist and cultural scientist from Berlin and works on topics related to pop culture, electronic music and social policy - including for Deutschlandfunk Kultur, Groove, Berliner Zeitung, Missy Magazine and Berghain, for which she writes a bi-monthly column. She was nominated for the 2023 and 2022 International Music Journalism Awards in the category “The Year’s Best Work of Music Journalism Audio” for her radio series “20 Years of MySpace” and the Spotify Originals podcast “Our House: Clubs and their Stories”. In 2023 she was head of the print magazine POLYTON in collaboration with the Music Initiative. In 2020 she headed the international young talent program for music journalists GLOBAL GROOVE in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut. As a DJ she plays under the name Harry Nipples.
