
Jinting Zhao
Jinting is a producer, engineer, songwriter, vocalist and advocate. Based out of the historic hiphop studio Up In Arms Studios in Edmonton, Canada, she is one of Alberta's few women producer-engineers working in a commercial studio. As a songwriter she has written for artists across the world, and has been featured on CityTV, Crave, Amazon Prime, NHL broadcasts, and others. Jinting is the founder of SHE-Q Audio, an organization aims to accelerate gender equity in the technical fields of music and audio. She is a sought after speaker and lecturer, including for the University of Colorado and Women in Music Canada. She is a strategic policy and governance consultant, helping arts and music organizations amplify their impact. She is a member of the Audio Engineering Society's Diversity Equity and Inclusion committee, a former board member of the Alberta Music industry association, a member of the 2023 JUNO Awards Host Committee for Diversity Equity and Inclusion, and a member of the Alberta Women’s Economic Development Roundtable.
