Dorette Gonschorek has been working at the music publisher and label ROOF Music in Bochum for 20 years, which also operates in booking, audiobooks, management, and literary management. Dorette is responsible for all aspects of the publishing sector, from copyright management and licensing to contract negotiation and A&R, as well as artist support. The publishing catalog includes a range from indie and pop to rap, jazz, and musical cabaret. Represented artists include Helge Schneider, Götz Alsmann, and Max and Jonas from "Das Lumpenpack." The publisher is a full member of GEMA, and Dorette is the spokesperson for MVV at VUT. In addition to her role at ROOF Music, Dorette works as the Managing Director for PopBoard NRW, which was established in 2021, and she volunteers to strengthen the local and regional pop music scene with the non-profit organization Musikbüro Bochum.
Since 2023, Dorette has been a board member of VUT
