At the age of 16, Ani was already on stage as a soloist in several productions, including the Landesbühne Hannover, the Staatsoper Hannover and the AWD-Arena Hannover. During her musical theater training in Hamburg, she sang as a soloist at the Jena Philharmonic Ball and the Musical Gala Brussels. After graduating, engagements followed in New York. There Anika presented her first solo show "A little bit of Broadway", sang with award-winning bands such as Manhattan City Musik, The Louis Armstrong Eternity Band and Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks in Manhattan's most famous venues.
Most recently, Anika was seen in the musical FAUST'n'Roll in the role of Gretchen.

Since 2023, she has dedicated herself to her heart project ME & THE LION: a music project to raise awareness about mental health and destigmatize mental illness. After making their debut in 2023 with the single "Let the Rain Come", they made the leap across the pond: in May 2024, ME & THE LION presented their new single "Lose Yourself" as part of their performance at the Urban Dreams Mental Health Film Festival in New York. The new music video premiered on the big screen at the Regal Cinema in Union Square.
ME & THE LION also performed at the Triad Theater in Manhattan. To mark "Mental Health Awareness Month", they were the international headliners of the International Mental Health Foundation's concert there. The foundation has set itself the task of raising awareness of mental health through art.
