Adriana Pérez-Gil is a Senior Legal Advisor at ICMP – the global trade body for the music publishing industry.ICMP represents Majors, Indies and 76 national groups across 6 continents. ICMP’s members are the nexus point between music creation (the first investors in the world’s songwriters and composers) and music markets (licensing across all formats including broadcast, live, digital etc.)Adriana helps to drive ICMP’s work across legislative and market issues, with responsibilities for legal expertise to members and public advocacy. On behalf of the industry this involves tackling issues as diverse as law reform, copyright infringement, government relations, anti-piracy and briefing ICMP members around the world on issues affecting the music sector.Before joining ICMP Adriana garnered more than twelve years of experience in international arbitration and trade negotiations, both in the private and public sectors. She worked as an associate at a leading independent law firm in Brussels and previously for the Ministry of Economy of Mexico. Adriana holds a Masters in International Trade Law and Economics
