The creative trade fair South By Southwest (SXSW), which takes place in Austin, Texas, is regarded as a pioneer and source of inspiration when it comes to innovation, creativity and diversity in the US music market.    

  

As Europe's largest club festival and platform for pop culture and the music industry, we are happy to represent Reeperbahn Festival at SXSW 2025 with an exuberant programme.   

  

Together with Hamburg Music and Keychange - our movement for gender equality in the music industry - we welcome you as international music industry representatives to exchange ideas at the matchmaking and reception and present up-and-coming acts to you.

We are happy to continue the tradition of our Hamburg Reception at SXSW! Hamburg Music, the Reeperbahn Festival and Keychange invite you to meet and network with representatives from the music and creative industry from Hamburg and the rest of Germany. Over a cold drink and our famous Hamburgers, you will have the chance to learn more about plans and partnership opportunities for 2025 and beyond from the participants.

Beth McCarthy

York-born Beth McCarthy is a pop-rock artist and a leading voice in the LGBTQ+ community. Her journey kickstarted in 2021 when her song “She Gets The Flowers” exploded on the internet. Followed by her viral EP “IDK How To Talk To Girls”, which got over 80M views across platforms. The 5-track guitar-driven EP accumulated tens of millions of streams, with a UK & Europe tour (over 7,000 tickets) that sold out in minutes. Beth’s next single “Good Bi” caught the attention of millions, including Olly Alexander and G-Flip, and big BBC Radio 1 support. She played mainstage at major UK & EU festivals, including the iconic BBC R1's Big Weekend, as well as Reeperbahn Festival, where Beth was nominated for The International Music Anchor Award 2024. Beth also supported Caity Baser, Anne Marie and MNEK earlier this year and sold out her first Australian tour! Beth’s next project is out in the new year, with the first single “All My Friends Are Hot” gaining the attention of millions online. After being nominated as "Newcomer of the Year" for Northern Music Awards 2025, the rest of 2025 is nothing but exciting, with Beth’s first US headline and a 20,000-ticket UK & EU tour, headlining at O2 Forum Kentish Town, London! 

Sofie Royer

Sofie Royer is an Austrian-Iranian musician and producer. She guested on Lewis OfMan’s latest record Cristal Medium Blue, on Toro Y Moi’s album MAHAL, and recently opened for Lana Del Rey, Air and LCD Soundsystem. Her shows are a vibrant mixture of hauntingly beautiful ballads combined with her unique sense of dance and pop. Sofie's third album, Young-Girl Forever, was released in November 2024 on Stones Throw Records and has been praised by media outlets such as The Guardian, which wrote: "Royer is one of Europe’s most perplexingly overlooked pop stars”.
