MUSIC PEOPLE TALKS | For the love of the Industry

The music industry has always had a magnetic appeal: idols on stage and myths about what goes on behind the scenes still create the desire to be part of this industry today. But what are the other good reasons? What makes everyday work in music so fulfilling? And is the industry future-proof? Colleagues with remarkable biographies share their perspectives in this talk. With wild stories from various fields – from A&R to booking to tour management – they are ready to paint their love for the industry in the brightest colors.

MUSIC PEOPLE TALKS | Does it make sense?

Monday to Friday, nine to five, and then also in the financial interest of a large corporation – such a work reality is unthinkable for many today. Jobs with impact and companies that take their social and political responsibilities seriously are in demand. Employees don't have to save the world, but they can certainly make it a little better. How can the desire for meaningful work be fulfilled? And how can companies create a working environment where employees can take on social responsibility? Impact pioneers share their expertise with you.

MUSIC PEOPLE TALKS | Money Talks - So, how much do you earn?

The music industry is not exactly known for its top salaries – apart from a few label bosses. Therefore, it's all the more important to have open discussions about money. Is it true that you can't live well from working in music? What is fair pay? What is behind the term "money blocks"? And why do so few people know what their colleagues earn? Certified coach Tina Krüger, who has a multifaceted career in the music industry, talks with HR professionals about the taboo topic of salary. Let’s talk about money!

MUSIC PEOPLE TALKS | No Go! Self-employed in the music industry?

Does this statement sound familiar: “Self-employed in the music industry? No way!” The turbulent business does not seem to align with the supposedly risky self-employment in the minds of many people. That’s not quite right – as long as you know what to do and what to avoid. In this talk, professionals share their experiences as freelancers and founders. They talk about mistakes so you don’t have to make them, and share learnings that are worth their weight in gold. A life without permanent employment in the music industry is possible – if you listen carefully to this talk.
