New in our programme! Noga Erez, Kate Nash, Parshad and so much more!

We immerse ourselves in music, pop, and subculture, look at contemporary art in Hamburg galleries, and shed light on pop cultural phenomena and youth movements. Which musical picks shaped our favourite artists and what does it mean to be inspired?  What hurdles must you overcome as a migrant woman in the comedy business? We get to the bottom of these questions and more with exciting screenings, inspiring talks, gallery, and art exhibitions, comedy programmes, live podcasts, and performances:

To all those flirting with a job in the music industry - watch out! The MUSIC PEOPLE TALKS programme series in the Festival Village provides insights into the current challenges and opportunities in the music biz for anyone interested in the industry. Best of all, the talks are free of charge.

For even more anticipation, we also have several new bands and solo artists on the program today.

Noga Erez

Noga Erez: Breaking Boundaries and Redefining Pop Music Inspired as much by Flying Lotus as by Imogen Heap or FKA Twigs, Noga Erez's sound design has always been a product of the not-too-distant future and remains so. With her latest album THE VANDALIST, which will be released on 20 September 2024, directly after her performance at the Reeperbahn Festival, Erez continues this tradition and once again defies the expectations of an industry that is unprepared for her brilliance. We are it!

Kate Nash

There's hardly anything that hasn't been written about Kate Nash. The British all-rounder's career has taken several twists and turns over the past two decades, from which she has always emerged stronger as a person and artist. Starting as an industry favourite, she broke with the business policies of the majors and took matters into her own hands after her second album. Whether it's alt-pop or indie, R'n'B or folk, punk, or the sheer power of early riot grrrl bands like Bikini Kill: Nash integrates into her sound works.

Zaho de Sagazan

From the echoes of 80s pop to krautrock and French chansons, Zaho de Sagazan has made many an influence part of her output. The singer with perhaps the coolest pseudonym of the last twenty years, which is her real name, is already seen as the great hope of the nouvelle chanson francaise. Sensitive to the zeitgeist without following it, Zaho de Sagazan creates music with incorruptible stubbornness, with soul and understanding in a world that wants to forget it all.
