First high pro­fi­le speakers an­noun­ced

This is not a time for business as usual! But if any industry knows that the only constant in business is change, it is surely the music industry. While the ticket market and it's challenges will be a key issue of this year’s Reeperbahn Festival Conference, there are several other areas of our industry that have also seen upheaval in recent months and need to be looked at. 
As transformation has always been an ongoing issue, it is all the more important that we come together to recognise, discuss and participate in determining what we want our future to look like: As a market, as a workplace, and as a cultural ecosystem. Therefore, this year's session programme and the first announcement get to focus on the overall topic of social sustainability by asking how we want to shape our industry in the future and how to deal with the following issues:

Addressing these topics are the following newly confirmed speakers: 
Digital transformation expert Charlotte Stahl (GER, Head of Music Operations DACH, TikTok) will talk about the best ways musicians can exploit the opportunities of TikTok. 
Director General of Spanish Right Society, SGAE, Cristina Perpiñà-Robert (ESP) will report on latest developements in the streaming market and its revenue and distribution models. 
And on the topic of recruiting, diversity and changing values, LIVE OUT L!VE founder and CEO Candace Newman (USA) explains how to encourage disadvantaged adolescents and young adults to pursue careers in live entertainment. 
 

The topic of live entertainment traditionally features prominently in the conference programme of Reeperbahn Festival. 
And so Folkert Koopmans (GER, CEO, FKP Scorpio) will be sharing his views on the current situation of the festival market in a keynote speech. 
Ben Mitha (GER, CEO, Karsten Jahnke Konzertdirektion) will be talking in a session on the market power of the music industry's stars. 
Tour promoter (e.g. Die Toten Hosen) Kiki Ressler (GER, CEO, KKT GmbH), e-commerce expert Iris Bögenholz (GER, COO, white label eCommerce GmbH) and festival director Rembert Stiewe (GER, festival director, OBS, Glitterhouse) will be discussing the impacts that models such as dynamic pricing or social ticketing will have on the ticket market. 
 

Mental health will be the main theme covered by songwriter Clueso (GER, photo) in conversation with his manager Dr. Olaf Meinking (GER, photo, who also manages Marius Müller-Westernhagen and is an advisor to FC Bayern München coach Thomas Tuchel). Both will discuss the challenges faced by artists dealing with the highs and lows of their careers as well as the special relationship that exists between artists and their managers.
