The Viennese band ZINN combines chanson punk with dark voices, fragile anger and a good dose of drama. Margarete Wagenhofer writes the lyrics and sings, Lilian Kaufmann provides the driving rhythms on drums and Pete Prison IV contributes bass and synthesiser. Together they create songs that focus on eco- and queerfeminist perspectives - with an uncompromising attitude and a radically tender aesthetic. Their debut album was released in 2020 on Numavi Records, followed by Chthuluzän in 2023 on the Berlin label Staatsakt. ZINN refuse to conform, oppose patriarchy and capitalism - and invite you to dance in the rubble.
