Listening to singer-songwriter Soffie, you'd never guess that one of her main sources of inspiration is anger – but apparently so. When she uploaded her song "Forever Spring" to TikTok on 8 January this year, it became the anthem for the anti-right-wing extremism protests across the country just a few days later. Overnight, the musician became a symbol of tolerance and humanity. None of this was planned. But since then, the self-taught pianist and singer's career has taken off. New songs are already in the pipeline and, if her fans get their way, features with AnnenMayKantereit and Alligatoah should follow soon - opportunities likely to at least pique their interest. But first there’s a tour of Germany coming up, and this will also take them to Hamburg in September.
