Paula Engels has barely released an official song, but she is already being booked for various venues across Germany. While other 18-year-olds are getting their driving licences, Paula is busy working on her musical career and honing a signature sound that combines songwriting sensibilities with indie and dark pop beats. Her debut single, “Ruf mich nicht mehr an”, shows that the tender voice of the former contestant from “The Voice Kids” has clearly matured and is immediately captivating. Fans of modern German-language pop music have already been able to experience her ability to perform this feat live on stage on TUA’s EDEN tour, where Paula was a supporting act, as well as with the indie rockers Provinz. Now, she is also going solo and will be giving one of her first independent concerts here this September.
