The eclectic Eat Them are extremely reluctant to be pinned down to any one style or goal. Given the oeuvre of the band from Bochum, that would hardly possible, anyway. Their discography contains just about everything that can be achieved with any kind of band set-up: indie and punk, noise and lo-fi pop, shoegaze and krautrock, mathcore and punk, experimental and catchy. The list could go on for an absurdly long time – and that is entirely intentional. Albums such as “Powerbank Reality” (2018) and “Gelbe Spinnerei” (2021) are never predictable, which turns fans of the band into actual fanatics who gratefully eat up everything the musicians have to offer. And Eat Them devour everything they can get their hands on. Their new album, “LATE” (2024), deliberately leaves many questions unanswered, so the answers become part of the listening process. Undoubtedly one of the most exciting German bands of the present day.
