Norway is generally known for breathtaking nature in cold surroundings and for its matching soundtracks, but there are always exceptions to the rule. With his warm mix of R’n’B and soul, indie and folk, Christian Roger Beharie is undoubtedly one of these exceptions. The singer–songwriter and musical performer from Sandnes created an incredibly fragile and warm sound full of dedication and passion on his previous EPs, which have such laconic titles as “Beharie // Beharie” (2021). In Norway, he has not only sold out venues, but also received several nominations for the prestigious Spellemannprisen. Since the release of his debut album, “Are You There, Boy?” (2023), he has been recognised as Norway’s most promising voice in warm soul pop.
