Arte Tracks | Plattenkiste Live mit TRÄNEN
Three times a week on YouTube and in ARTE's multimedia centre: counterculture, pop, society. Tracks, the oldest but equally the youngest show on European culture channel ARTE brings the popular ‘Plattenkiste’ (Record Case) feature live and unplugged to the stage. The concept is familiar to most: a guest artist enjoys around 30 minutes looking through a box of vinyl that’s been hand-picked for them, digging out their favourite records and discovering songs ranging from techno to metal to trap. During the show, the guests talk about music, share personal stories, tell anecdotes – or just sing along to the tracks. Hayiti and K.I.Z. have already taken part on TV and Alli Neumann and futurebae did so at the Reeperbahn Festival. The live show is interactive, with a presenter asking questions and encouraging spontaneous karaoke turns. Something that no digital platform can offer? Afterwards, the audience can talk to the live guest, and Tracks fans can discuss their favourite episodes. And if you miss the Tracks session, after the show you’ll find the first live Plattenkiste edition on the cult programme's YouTube channel.
