Amid a global environmental and climate crisis, digital tools are often touted as a key solution for acting more sustainably, reducing emissions and promoting a green transition. Cities, major contributors to climate change, generate increasing data on the crisis's urgency. Developing and managing resilient cities is as important as the narratives we build with these abstract numbers. Artists explore new ways of living, challenge norms, and offer alternative perspectives. Communicating complex climate data is challenging for scientists. The solution seems to lie in the collaboration between art and science offering new perspectives on the visualisation of data. Combining the possibilities of data analysis with artistic thinking and the power of visualisation could have the potential to foster a radical imagination for our future lives.
