Epitaph Labels Showcase in Collab with Sea-Watch
Epitaph, Hellcat, and ANTI- Records are thrilled to announce their showcase at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, taking place on Friday, September 20, at Molotow Club at 7pm. This event will feature performances by three recent additions to the labels' rosters: ANTI-’s rising star from South London, Sam Akpro; Hellcat’s UK ska-punk outfit, RAT BOY; and Epitaph’s indie rockers from El Paso, Texas, late night drive home.
For this special event, Epitaph Records is partnering with Sea-Watch, a humanitarian organization dedicated to rescuing refugees in distress at sea. Proceeds from the showcase will support vital refugee relief efforts and raise awareness of the ongoing crisis.
“We are delighted to be part of the event.” says Pablo Vollmer, head of events for Sea-Watch. “As Sea-Watch's events team, we are constantly looking for such stages and cooperation to bring the
dying in the Central Med to the people through art and to formulate our demands. We would therefore like to thank Epitaph and the bands for inviting us to dedicate this evening together to the People on the Move!
“As our label’s guideline I always rely on Joe Strummer’s Law “no input, no output”, states Roger Dorresteijn, Managing Director of Epitaph Europe. “It applies to the talent and energy of the bands we are proudly staging on this Reeperbahn night, and it aligns directly with our fundraising efforts to support an organization like Sea-Watch who are at the frontline of saving lives of refugees at sea.”
Visions magazine, a leading voice in Germany’s alternative music scene, will be the official media partner for the event. They will be providing exclusive coverage and behind-the-scenes access.
