Creating more diverse and inclusive festivals and events can be hard. Often, organizers don’t know where to start, or they’re afraid of doing something wrong and the potential backlash that might cause. To give events a simple but useful starting point, YOUROPE – The European Festival Association has recently released a Diversity & Inclusion Toolset. It features 50+ resources and inspirational best-practice stories about events that have already made great progress. In this panel, we will take a closer look at the Toolset together with the project’s lead developer. Plus, a representative from one of the featured best-practice festivals, Provinssi, will give first-hand insights into how they make one of Finland’s finest festivals more diverse and inclusive
