Mia Wray
When Mia Wray launched her career in the early 2010s, the songs on her debut EP "Mia Wray" (2014) still fell under the folk and pop monikers. Wray was finding her style, participating in talent programmes, playing at festivals and landing various features. At the start of her new twenties, however, her sound transformed, becoming more professionally produced and moving closer to indie and bedroom pop. Her fame grew fast via the pertinent platforms and quickly earned her stylistic comparisons with Meg Mac, Lorde and Florence And The Machine. Not the worst word of mouth advertising, but the Australian plays not only guitar, piano and harmonica, she's also in a league of her own. She proved this with the EP "Stay Awake" (2022) as well as with the singles "Monster Brain" (2023) and "What If" (2024). Time for a return - and who says so? Now she's back on stage in Hamburg too.
