Heavyweight riffs break through the vivid mental theatre of a post-apocalyptic landscape, the dust settles as Andras Aron's shouts light up the landscape - once you've heard the unpredictable sound of Lazarvs, you've literally tasted blood. In recent years, the Budapest-based trio has made a name for itself way beyond Hungary's borders as a fierce combo with a unique sound signature, both on stage and on their acclaimed albums. On these albums, Lazarvs, who were known as Apey & The Pea until 2020, cover the whole nine yards: from stoner vibes and grunge to doom and death metal and far beyond. With their last album ‘Lazarvs’ (2020), they took this fusion a step further with a new name and a production update. It was already obvious by then that the band had found themselves, and could confidently translate this into songs of colossal power. At the end of last year, ‘Blackest’ (2023) hit the zenith of their work to date: a flawless fusion of influences that doesn't start with Pantera and Alice In Chains and doesn't end with Soundgarden and Megadeth.
